Local MP, Amber Rudd joined the Hastings International Chess Congress for the celebratory finale, party and prize-giving at Horntye Park on January 5th .
Amber is pictured with Yue Wang the Major Winner and Cllr Maureen Charlesworth.
Amber commented, “This was another successful International Chess Congress, and my congratulations go to all the organisers and the players for managing the event so smoothly. It was a pleasure to see so many different nationalities participating. It is excellent that the sponsors, including Deutsch and the White Rock Hotel, have continued their support.”
