The British Heart Foundation (BHF) organised the first London to Hastings Bike Ride on Sunday 29th August and Amber welcomed the first rider to complete the 61-mile route.

Hundreds of cyclists of all abilities completed the charity fundraising event, which cut through the North Downs and High Weald before making its way down to Hastings.

“Well done to Martin Mears of St Leonard’s who organised this excellent fund-raiser for the BHF.  On a very windy morning I was delighted to welcome the first rider into Grosvenor Gardens who achieved his record breaking ride in only 4 hours and 20 mins.  It was a successful and enjoyable event.” Said Amber.
