"Journey times between Hastings and London will be slashed when new trains capable of 140 mph are introduced in little more than five years time." - say Rail Future
As a group of local residents, organised by Amber Rudd MP and supported by proactive local rail organisations we are pushing and campaigning for a high speed rail service between Hastings and London.
Network Rail revealed there exists a strong business case and indeed a compelling argument, for a fundamental step change to the service operated over the Marshlink line. However, it remains clear that despite record investment of £38 billion, we need to engage everyone and work together in collaboration to work out how we will take this forward.
Amber Rudd MP is confident that with the support of local rail groups, commuters, councils, Network Rail and the Department for Transport we will make this happen.
Together we can make this happen. To begin with, we are asking as many residents and business owners as possible to sign the petition for High Speed Rail.
We the undersigned support the campaign by Amber Rudd MP and local rail groups for investment in high speed rail services from Hastings to London.
